Cats!

Fun facts you should know about cats!

communication between human beings isn't an easy task considering the different culture and language that exist in the world let alone with animals.
If you have a cat or you intend getting one or more, here are some things you should know about them

Sometimes it is very clear what our cat wants...as they meow and pace around the kitchen as their feeding time draws near, they are probably demanding that we stop all other activities and feed them NOW! At other times their messages seem to be a bit more cryptic and we struggle to figure out what they really want. It is akin to visiting a foreign country where you don't speak the language...sometimes you can figure out what others are trying to say and sometimes you end up lost/confused/frustrated or eating something you'd prefer not to consume. Of course, having a translation guide often helps a foreign traveler navigate successfully through those experiences. A translation guide for cats may help you communicate with your cat — just beware, once you find out what they're saying they may expect faster service!

Vocalizations:

Meow:

This complex call is generally associated with greetings "hello" or care-seeking events: "feed me," "pet me," "let me out," etc.

Purr:

This soft rhythmic noise is probably a "cat smile" or your cat saying "I'm happy" or "I'm content."

Growl:

This means "back off" or "stop what you are doing." It is best heeded or else physical violence (scratch/bite) may follow.

Hiss:

This is a defensive vocalization that translates into "I'm worried, back off" or "I'm scared, stop what you are doing."

Chatter:

This chattering of the teeth is frequently associated with hunting, often observed when a cat is focused intently on its prey but can't get to the prey. It probably means "I'm so excited but I'm also frustrated."

Body Postures:

Swat:

This active strike with the front feet may have the claws exposed or shielded depending upon how strongly the cat wants to relay the message: "back-off."

Ears flattened against the head:

"I'm scared/angry/upset". Even though these cats may be frightened, they are also angry so it is best to avoid contact.

Tail up:

"Hello, I'm comfortable."

Tail arched:

"I'm scared/defensive."

Tail tucked:

"I'm scared."

Tail fluffed/bristled:

When all the tail hair fluffs up and makes the tail look like a feather duster. This means "I'm aroused/upset."

Roll over:

For most cats this isn't an invitation to rub their belly but instead a defensive posture when trapped that allows them to sink all twenty nails into their target so beware!

Gape:

This refers to the posture of the mouth when it is held half open for an extended period after the cat has investigated an item/scent. This posture allows the cat to move pheromones (chemical communicants) up into a special organ that sits just above the nasal passage called the vomeronasal organ. It is here, in the vomeronasal organ, where the cat can decode the pheromone and gather valuable information from it.
Remember a scared cat is likely to use aggression if it feels trapped so any contact, including trying to comfort your cat, should be avoided. No single body posture or vocalization can tell you exactly what a cat is trying to communicate. You need to look at the entire cat and the situation to understand what they are trying to tell you!
i hope this helps, don't forget to give me a feedback or leave comments!

HELP MAKE A CHANGE TODAY!!!

RACISM------->BULLY

I know you might be wondering why i linked this two words together with an arrow,it's because there's a connection between them.My major focus is on bully ,racism often happens everywhere and it leads to bully.I still don't understand why people have problem with color;race and stuffs like that, why do people think if they have the same color they shouldn't belong in the same environment, community or country.seriously it bothers me and it still does because it's disheartening, tens and thousands of people die from this act (bully) everyday, it's something that has been happening for centuries and it hasn't stopped.Racism isn't the only reason behind bully, research has shown that there are some irrational and absurd reasons why people bully, this reasons include;hair, appearance, hatred. This few reasons i mentioned relate to high school, obviously they are illogical.Despite the fact that it doesn't make sense it still causes deaths everyday mostly suicide. There are so many other ways you bully people unknowingly;your comments, criticisms, judgments and what you think of them negatively. The victims consider suicide when they can't stand the torture anymore, they cry, they feel depressed due to loneliness, their hearts aches and they become vulnerable because of all these I'ld like you to know that 95% of depressed and mentally unstable people are in the state they are because of "loneliness".Loneliness kills faster than any other disease ,find out.

I'm reaching out to everyone out there and everybody reading this to gain support because i know we can fight this act together,i know we can help stop this so i'm looking forward to it because i believe in you and i know together we can make a change.
NB:please leave your comments and share your ideas concerning how we can help solve this issue.

MY DREAM,DO YOU HAVE ONE?

             I believe in "PAULO COELHO'S" saying that;
“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.” ― Paulo CoelhoThe Alchemist because i believe in dreams, they come true, sincerely they do.You know friends i have a dream and i've had this dream right from my childhood,i've always had this dream of being on T.V. i've always wanted attention, fame also i've always wanted to be heard, guess  what people! i still believe in that dream;i still want to be heard because my dream would not be pushed aside .i nurtured this dream right from my childhood till this present moment,i haven't achieved it though but i believe it will sooner or later.
Ok just a second for comic relief, and also to show you how obsessed i was with my dream as a kid. i don't know if you also had this thought when you were a kid because even when i remember i still laugh. Here it is;when i was a kid i used to think that if i break the screen of  the T.V,i can walk right inside and see the people i'm watching and people watching the T.V from some other place would also see me.this might sound funny to you just like it sounds to me.
I still hold on to my dreams,i think i'm on the verge achieving it,a little more time will do.The important thing is thing for you is to hold tightly on to your dream,do not let it slip out of your hands and let the thought of achieving should always be on your mind, stay "POSITIVE" trust me it will work because even "ELEANOR ROOSEVELT" confirmed it saying; “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
― Eleanor Roosevelt
In addition to this, you also need hope to accomplish this,"ARISTOLE" backed it up saying “Hope is a waking dream.”
― Aristotle
All being said, "Dare to live the life you have dreamed for yourself, Go forward and make your dreams come true".
